Getting pumped up and ready for Spring Break? These travel must-haves need to find their way onto your packing list!
Traveling is one of my favorite things to do.
So much that, I even promised myself I would travel at least 6 times this year. I know that sounds like a bit of a stretch but from barely going anywhere for 3 years, I had some catching up to do! But everything has a flip side…
Packing.
Ugh, don’t get me started. Now, I know this isn’t your first rodeo, either.
You don’t or more like can’t pack your entire life in your luggage unless you can afford the insane fees at the airport. In that case, lucky you! For the majority of us, that would be a no.
The problem is that you also don’t want to under pack.
Even though you probably know which essentials should absolutely go, there are tons of must-have gadgets that I have learned over my past few trips that are a complete must-have. It’s not like I can reach over into my mom’s Mary Poppins-like carry-on bag and get whatever I need…
I know. I miss it too.
Now, I like traveling smart and there’s nothing smarter than these items that won’t break your bank. Trust me, it’ll make your trip a total breeze.
Here are my 6 Travel Must-Haves Under $20!!!
I Can’t Find My Bag!
One of the first things I realized is that everyone owns a black, red, or blue suitcase… I’m so screwed. My bag is blue, like the other 13 here. And then I saw this gal, standing right next to me, pluck her black suitcase from a sea of carbon-copy luggage and be on her merry way.
… Luggage tags.
Something so small yet incredibly helpful made her baggage claim a 3-minute affair while I was still standing there 20 mins later. Never again.
Before you go on your next trip, make sure to order these bright luggage tags so you can enjoy your vacation and not have to worry about your luggage!
Need to Stash Money?
Sometimes, we don’t want to carry a purse. It’s not that crazy nor impossible. But then how do I carry my id? My money?
Get this. The Silk Undercover Bra Stash.
This bra is made of breathable silk, so your girls won’t sweat while keeping your money safe. You can stash your cash, ID, and credit cards close to your chest or on one of the side straps. This product is only $12, which is a total steal considering it helps to hide away your valuables, credit cards, and small documents.
I have them in both colors!
Your New Traveling BFF
Okay, this has happened to me more times than I care to admit.
My flight got delayed, my phone is dead, there are no outlets or they are charging me an arm and a leg (literally, it feels that way), and I’m bored out of my mind.
Sound familiar?
Don’t leave your house without your power bank to charge your phone on the go or you’ll instantly regret it. I recently caved and bought the Anker PowerCore 10000, and my iPhone has yet to run out of battery. It’s small enough for me to out in my pocket but has enough capacity that I could charge my phone twice before I have to charge it again!
The last thing you need to deal with when switching airports and dealing with check-ins and long lines is your phone dying on you.
Avoid A Headache. Get A Universal Plug Adapter
You’re out of luck if you don’t bring one with you because guess what? Not everyone in the world uses the same electrical plugs you do back at home. I learned this the hard way last time I went to Argentina to visit my family.
So you’ll need something like this Universal Power Travel Adapter if you want to charge your laptop or your phone on your international trip.
This is like the Swiss Army Knife of plug adapters. It even comes with a surge protector that keeps your electronics from shorting out.
You won’t be sorry!
Foldable Ballet Flats Will Keep TSA At Bay
I don’t know why but the last thing I think about when throwing everything in my luggage is my shoes. At that point, I barely have any room and I have to narrow down which pair I need to take with me (Overthinker, right here!).
You may be walking up and down hills, or walking down streets made of cobblestones or going to the beach…
You get the dilemma.
So why torture yourself and your feet with the wrong shoes because you couldn’t fit it into your luggage? Try buying a pair of foldable ballet flats. They’re comfy and you can also use them on the plane for a much comfy fit.
BONUS: They’re great for walking through customs, as you can easily take them off.
Catch Some Zzz’s
Ever try to sleep on a plane?
You know, with overhead lights, air vents blaring, little ones having a hard time… you get the picture.
Some people can sleep through anything and others… not so much. This silk sleep mask is a must-have for those who struggle to relax and want to catch some zzz’s (They even have really cute designs!).
If you need pitch black, absolute silence kind of atmosphere, then I would suggest getting a pair of earplugs to make the best experience out of it.
